Amanda Pender, our new patient care coordinator, comes to us from Richmond, Virginia. Born and raised there, after high school she pursued her dreams of cooking and baking at SUNY Alfred, in Western NY. There she completed her AOS Degree in Baking Production & Management. After college, she moved to Virginia Beach and jumped right into the food industry. After a few years of moving around,exploring many different jobs within the food industry, she and husband Derek settled back in her hometown of Richmond.

Looking for a steadier pace, she got into the medical field, thanks to her best friend. She has since fallen in love with the field, but still satisfies her passion of being in the kitchen on the side; baking and cooking for friends,family, and co-workers. Her husband Derek brought her here to the sunshine state as he goes through the police academy. Amanda loves marine life,especially sea turtles, and is excited for the opportunities available to her now to volunteer and be able to help sea turtles,as many of them are on the endangered species list. Amanda loves skincare and dermatology, and is thrilled to be delving into this side of the medical field and learning all she can!
