About The PiXel-RF

This device can be used on multiple areas of the body. The PiXel8-RF combines the latest advancement in Micro-Needling and Radio Frequency technologies. This device can be used on multiple areas of the body. Treatment offers minimal downtime or pain and can be done on all skin types. A solution to restore youthful skin without surgery or downtime.

About the procedure

Microneedling with radiofrequency, like other Microneedling procedures, creates controlled micro-injuries in the skin to stimulate collagen production.

After cleansing the skin surface and applying a topical lidocaine anesthetic, the Microneedling hand piece is gently pressed against the treatment area to create numerous, tiny, micro-channels. Radiofrequency uses the same needles to deliver RF energy into the dermis. The RF energy heats the dermis which not only encourages collagen growth but tissue tightening as well.

The penetration of the microneedles into the skin leads to a release of growth factors and triggers the wound healing cascade, encouraging collagen production which leads to younger looking skin. The needles also help to mechanically break down the scar tissue. Since the epidermis is not destroyed, recovery time is much shorter when compared to more aggressive laser resurfacing treatments or deep chemical peels.

The goal of a Microneedling with radiofrequency procedure is to target imperfections of the skin with micro-injuries which cause the release of growth factors and triggers the wound healing process which produces collagen, creating younger, tighter looking skin.

Side Effects
Microneedling with radiofrequency is generally well tolerated but erythema may be seen after treatment, lasting for 2-3 days. Skin may also feel warm, tight and itchy but this will normally resolve in 12-48 hours. Treated skin may be more prone to hyperpigmentation so strict adherence to photoprotection is advised for a week after.
