3 Ways to Save you Money on Botox!

Stop Spending Too Much $$ On Botox

No one I know has received botox from me and said “I wish that wrinkle came back” . The main complaint I always get is that the treatment needs to be repeated to maintain the results every 3 months. Which if you think about it, is not that bad. I wish I could go to the gym once every 3 months and still have results.

Keep reading to find out my tips to make sure you are getting the biggest bang for money with each of your botox treatments.

Area -vs- Units

Botox is a liquid medication that is dosed or purchased by the “unit”. This allows providers to measure out the perfect amount of botox. Allergan the company that makes botox has a suggested number of units per each area of the face.

There are 3 main “areas” of the face that are treated. This includes the area between the eyebrows, around the eyes (crows feet) and the forehead. In my many years of treating with Botox I have learned it is more of an art that an exact science. Each patient is different due to their facial muscle strength, genetics, and skin condition.

Botox

At Millefiori we price our Botox by the unit. This allows each patient to buy the exact amount of Botox that is needed for their wrinkles. Some offices will set a total price for a particular area of the face. It may seem like a good deal at first but you do not know exactly how much botox you are purchasing.

Since the price is set at an average you may be spending more than you need to. Always ask your injected what the recommended dose is for your particular situation.

Proper Consult For Botox

When in comes to anything in the skincare industry a proper consultation is key. There is so much bad information out there about skin. I love the Instagram influencer and sales at Ulta just as much as any girl.

But, I have a medical degree to practice medicine and have specialized in aesthetics. This is the knowledge that I rely on when doing skincare consultations. My new clients think they need a specific treatment because they saw someone on Instagram get it, and they had perfect skin.

Aesthetics is medicine and should be practiced as such. Each patient should be evaluated and then a treatment plan developed for their exact needs. A proper consultation will always save you money in the long run.

Medical Skincare

Just like with most things in life, you get what you pay for. For me, medical skincare is one of the things that I am willing to spend on.

My face is so worth it. I still love my trips to Ulta for fun things like makeup brushes and mascara but skincare is all medical. I want to see a difference and see changes in my skin. Using good medical grade skincare such as skinceuticals is not only good for skin health but will also make your botox look longer.

Botox

The better condition your skin is in the better the outcome of botox treatments.

Bottom Line: I love botox! It is a great treatment that can be used for anyone looking to soften lines and wrinkles related to aging. Cheap botox is never a good thing and good botox is not cheap. But if you follow my guidelines you can get the best results from your money. Remember to pay per unit, ask for a proper skincare consulation, and use a medical grade skincare line.
